*Playlist at the end 🙂
Good morning friends and happy Tuesday!
It was kind of a struggle to get out of bed this morning, but I kept snoozing until I finally rolled out of bed to go shoot sunrise. Now that I go out to shoot on a pretty regular basis I typically choose to shoot sunrise/sunset or during golden hour. Those are definitely my favorite times to shoot for obvious reasons. Sunrise the last two mornings wasn’t as impressive as some that I’ve seen here in Florida, but I kind of expected this because there were no clouds both mornings. That’s why I wanted to make sure I got out of bed this morning because I saw in the weather forecast that it was going to be cloudy today and if you didn’t know already, clouds MAKE the sunrises and sunsets. Now if only I could find out which type of clouds make the best sunrises/sunsets. If anyone knows, please share in the comments below! Anyway, here are some shots from earlier:
This was at Lake Rowena in Orlando, which is right across from the Orlando Museum of Art on Mills. I’ve noticed this lake always has gorgeous views of sunrise, but there is no where to park! The neighborhood that is closest does not allow any street parking. -__- So I basically cheated and parked at a business nearby since I wasn’t planning to stay long anyway.
I hope the residents who live around this lake appreciate the beauty they have every day.
The reflection from the lake was on point today!
Also, I wanted to share a mix by Jarami, a Swedish duo. It’s almost a solid hour of R&B goodness with an extra side of funk. Definitely a mix to groove out to. Enjoy and make today a good one!
I just finished watching the most inspiring movie called The Shift starring Dr. Wayne Dyer. It’s about conscious living and leading a life of purpose and meaning to your authentic self. It was so amazing and I recommend it for everyone to see and it is currently free to watch online in his honor.
Thank you to @happsters for sharing this wonderful and soul 🙏🏽 touching movie.
Hope everyone has had a great week and is ready for the weekend! I actually go to work tomorrow night again, but I’ve been off the last two nights so I feel like I’ve been on my weekend. 🙂
This post is going to be a little random, but just wanted to share a couple things with you guys. One is this video:
To me, inspiration is probably one of the greatest gifts you can give to anybody. If it wasn’t for inspiration, we wouldn’t be living in the world we live in today. I think it’s safe to say that all of our greatest leaders, inventors, heroes, etc. were inspired by someone or something, right? For example, Gandhi inspired Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs was inspired by the co-founder of Polaroid, Edwin Land, Elon Musk was inspired by the Lord of the Rings, and the list goes on. When you strive to be the best version of yourself, just know that there is someone out there who will be inspired by you. And this is a gift you give not only to yourself, to the person you inspire, but also to the world. Inspiration leads to great things. Inspiration leads to movements, inventions, improvements, art, and whatever else can be inspired. Read More
Why is it so easy to get caught up with daily life? One of my constant struggles is forgetting how to be present and true to myself. I think one of the biggest culprits recently has been my job situation at work. There are issues and things that get me upset and it throws me off my momentum. Or at least I allow it to throw me off. On my nights off I try to relax and enjoy my time and always find my way back to peace. Today I read this article posted by Deepak Chopra that really hit home and gave me something I really needed. It was kind of like hitting the refresh button. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do that anytime we came across our daily struggles? I’m going to try my best to think of it that way and use this “button” anytime I find myself straying from my true self and the present moment. It’s so easy to get caught up in the things that don’t really matter. I guess this is why it is so important to practice daily meditation and surround yourself with people who believe in the same things you do and who can snap you back to the present moment when necessary. Anyhow, here is the link to that awesome article: “From Hazy to Clear: How to Gain Clarity About Your Life” by Deepak Chopra.
Read it, save it, share it! Let’s continue to spread positivity! Also, Deepak will be hosting a global online meditation event this Saturday for compassion. It’s free! I signed up and I hope you will too. Do good things daily. Hope everyone is having an awesome week!
Talk to you soon.
P.S. If you don’t know who Deepak Chopra is, look him up! He is an author, public speaker, advocate for alternative medicine, and leader in all things spiritual.
