I just got back from Utah a few days ago, worked 3 nights in a row, and tonight is my first night off. Since I’ve been back, I’ve been having Utah withdrawals. I was unbelievably amazed at how beautiful the scenery was and I cannot wait to go back and explore some more. If you haven’t been to Utah you must go! I flew to Vegas and then rented a car did my own customized version of the Grand Circle road trip that most people do. I wanted to share with you where I went and where I stayed in case you will be planning your trip soon.
So I had a few days off from work so I decided to take a last minute roadtrip to visit my fam in Georgia and make it a trip to see some places I’ve been wanting to go to. My original plan was to visit my fam and then head over to NC to hike, but my plans changed and won’t allow me to hike anymore. That’s okay though cause I’ve been really enjoying the scenery here in the South. Here’s a snapshot of my trip so far:
Since I’ve been back from South America, my schedule has been pretty busy with work, moving, cruise with the family, new friends, etc. Going to South America was such a spiritual journey for myself and I’ve noticed that being back has really taken away from me being able to be in tune with myself and my soul. I haven’t really had much time to myself. It’s so easy to get caught up with daily life and forget to be present. Today I’m writing as I’m enjoying dinner with myself and I started thinking how thankful I am to be able to have the freedom to take myself to a good meal. To be able to have a mind that is okay and happy being in my own company. To have a healthy body to be able to go wherever I choose. It’s these simple things in life that matter and I want to start making a daily habit of acknowledging something I’m thankful for every day. What are you thankful for today?
Hope you’re starting off this week with lots of energy and sunshine. 🙂
