Cambodia was such an experience in it itself that I can’t even begin to properly express the emotions and feelings I felt while I explored in that country.Read More...
It’s been a while since my last post, but that’s because I like to post when I actually have something I want to write about instead of feeling forced to post something. So today’s post is going to be about my tips of how to travel more. I really became obsessed with traveling this year. Prior to 2015, my trips consisted of Hawaii, Seattle, different road trips in California, a few occasions to Tijuana (used to be a pretty common thing for us Californians BACK IN THE DAY), and of course my road trip across the US after I graduated from nursing school. If you’re like me and stalk Instagrammers who travel all the time or LOOK like they travel all the time then you’re not alone. I too, can get stuck on Instagram for HOURS on end just daydreaming about all the places I want to go. It’s pretty nerve racking sometimes. Especially when they’re travel videos on YouTube. Anyway, I finally made it a point to travel abroad to South America in April and have gone on other small trips around the U.S. since then and am going on another big trip this coming November to South East Asia! I am super excited and wanted to share with you all how you can travel too! Read More
This post is a little late, but I wanted to write this post for those of you who may be planning a trip to Peru and wanted to stop by Bolivia to see the salt flats. This is actually a very popular route that many travelers do, which is why I felt comfortable enough to do this solo even after hearing about bus raids, strikes, and robberies that can happen. If you research online, it has been known that tourist buses can be stopped en route and luggage stolen, but most websites I saw said this is only common with the overnight buses on the popular tourist bus lines, such as Cruz del Sur. Even after reading about this, I still took the leap because a friend of mine has done it before and said she had no problem at all. Hope I didn’t scare you away! Read More
So the day has finally come and I will be boarding on a plane to South America in less than two hours! Well, technically I’ll be flying to Fort Lauderdale first, but still! Words can’t express the feelings I’m feeling right now. So many emotions. The thought of not knowing what I’m about to embark is raising my anxiety level just a tad bit since I’m actually here at the airport realizing that I’ll be out of the country I’ve been in my whole entire life. But at the same time it excites me for all the great adventures I’m about to experience. I hope you will follow me on my journey and it inspires those of you who have always wanted to do something or go somewhere but have found excuses not to go or have been too scared to take the leap. Make it happen people! Commit to something today that you’ve always wanted to do and start making your way to it!
In one more week I’ll officially get to check off a place on my bucket list and that is Machu Picchu!
When I see pictures of Machu Picchu it gives me that sense of awe and curiosity of how a place like that exists in the world. I can’t imagine the feeling I will get once I get to see this magical place in real life. Maybe some tears of joy? Haha anyhow, I wanted to share some other items on my bucket list to possibly spark some interest for you to start checking off things on your bucket list as well. 😉
See the Lantern Festival in Thailand (planning to check this off in November 🙂
Patagonia, Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno Glacier, the marble caves, and everywhere else a part of this amazing scenery in Argentina/Chile. (The picture below is of Monte Fitz Roy and everytime I see it I get that burning desire and a little bit of an anxiety attack)
See the Northen Lights
See the Milky Way (This picture is from a state park in Pennsylvania! I’ll have to visit this place soon)
Hot Air Balloon Ride in Cappadocia, Turkey
These are just some of things I want to see and places I want to go. I also want to live in a different country, go on a round-the-world trip, learn how to scuba dive, and the list goes on.
What do you guys have on your bucket list? And what are you marking off this year? 🙂
