Wednesday Wisdom

Hi, guys!

I just watched this short video on BigThink about Ethan Hawke’s thoughts on the power of speech, integrity, and how Donald Trump uses this power. A very thought-provoking piece to stimulate your mind. Watch it and let me know what you guys think!

Have a great day and happy hump day!

Have A Groovy Tuesday

*Playlist at the end 🙂

Good morning friends and happy Tuesday!

It was kind of a struggle to get out of bed this morning, but I kept snoozing until I finally rolled out of bed to go shoot sunrise. Now that I go out to shoot on a pretty regular basis I typically choose to shoot sunrise/sunset or during golden hour. Those are definitely my favorite times to shoot for obvious reasons. Sunrise the last two mornings wasn’t as impressive as some that I’ve seen here in Florida, but I kind of expected this because there were no clouds both mornings. That’s why I wanted to make sure I got out of bed this morning because I saw in the weather forecast that it was going to be cloudy today and if you didn’t know already, clouds MAKE the sunrises and sunsets. Now if only I could find out which type of clouds make the best sunrises/sunsets. If anyone knows, please share in the comments below! Anyway, here are some shots from earlier:

This was at Lake Rowena in Orlando, which is right across from the Orlando Museum of Art on Mills. I’ve noticed this lake always has gorgeous views of sunrise, but there is no where to park! The neighborhood that is closest does not allow any street parking. -__- So I basically cheated and parked at a business nearby since I wasn’t planning to stay long anyway.

I hope the residents who live around this lake appreciate the beauty they have every day.

The reflection from the lake was on point today!

Also, I wanted to share a mix by Jarami, a Swedish duo. It’s almost a solid hour of R&B goodness with an extra side of funk. Definitely a mix to groove out to. Enjoy and make today a good one!

❤ always,

Hobbies and Knowing Yourself

The other day me and my friend were having a conversation about knowing yourself and always making sure you have time for yourself. She’s currently in a relationship and was telling me how it’s hard for her to get time to herself at times because she has to always consider her free time for her significant other. This is one of the reasons why I choose to be single and I’m happy to be single because all my free time away from work is spent on me and what I want to do. I feel blessed to be able to have the freedom to spend my days off being lazy, catching up on sleep, reading books or exploring my city, etc. I was telling my friend how it’s so important to be able to spend time away from your significant other to do things for yourself so you can stay in tune to you and the things that make you Y-O-U. Happy Friday!

Hi friends!

Inspiration

To me, inspiration is probably one of the greatest gifts you can give to anybody. If it wasn’t for inspiration, we wouldn’t be living in the world we live in today. I think it’s safe to say that all of our greatest leaders, inventors, heroes, etc. were inspired by someone or something, right? For example, Gandhi inspired Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs was inspired by the co-founder of Polaroid, Edwin Land, Elon Musk was inspired by the Lord of the Rings, and the list goes on. When you strive to be the best version of yourself, just know that there is someone out there who will be inspired by you. And this is a gift you give not only to yourself, to the person you inspire, but also to the world. Inspiration leads to great things. Inspiration leads to movements, inventions, improvements, art, and whatever else can be inspired. Read More
